GODFLESH US Tour Cancellation: The Official Press Release
April 16, 2002FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
GODFLESH CANCEL U.S. TOUR DUE TO ILLNESS
Due to an undisclosed illness to frontman Justin Broadrick, the first U.S. tour in nearly six years by legendary industrial pioneers GODFLESH has been cancelled. The rest of the band had already arrived in Los Angeles when word arrived that Broadrick was too ill to make the flight from London.
The tour, which was to include special guests HIGH ON FIRE and HALO, was to be in support of the critically acclaimed new release from GODFLESH entitled Hymns (Koch/Music for Nations). This would have been the first time that U.S. fans had a chance to see the version of GODFLESH that recently conquered Europe as special guests to FEAR FACTORY.
“We're all worried about Justin's health” states GODFLESH's U.S. label manager Pat Egan, “and hope to have a more detailed explanation soon”. This comes at a time when GODFLESH's profile in the U.S. is at an all-time high and dates on the tour were selling extremely well.
